Thread- Black 8/0 UNI or Benecchi Ultra Fine

Body- Peacock herl

Hackle- Grizzly, palmered thru body

It's best to re-enforce your herl with thread, leaving your tag after tying in and twisting this and the herl to form a rope. Great midge cluster pattern!

Cream Griffiths'

Hook-TMC 100 or 101 size 20-28

Thread- Cream 8/0 UNI or Benecchi Ultra Fine

Body- Cream Superfine

Hackle- Cream or barred ginger, palmered thru body.

Works well to imitate those tiny cream midges of winter. Clip bottom hackle of both Griffiths patterns and this fly will ride flush in the film.
